A pop culture ad campaign where Megan Thee Stallion (AKA Hot Girl Meg) is leveraged to promote Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
The goal: achieve Cheetos’ marketing objectives in an advertising campaign. What better way to do that than with THEE Hot Girl herself?
Megan Thee Stallion’s fans are familiar with the “Real Hot Girl Sh*t” tag she uses in her songs. Applying that phrase and combining it with the Cheetos snack connects fans and encourages outsiders to grab their own #HOTGIRLSNACK.
Product Packaging
The product packaging keeps the iconic Flamin’ Hot Cheetos packaging while adding a mix of flames and burns, our Hottie, and of course Chester Cheetah. To merge the two brands, Chester is illustrated as a DJ that just can’t get enough of Meg. The bag incorporates a lyric from one of Meg’s most popular songs: “Yeah, I’m in my bag but I’m in his too,” to once again relate back to the audience.
Print Ads
Print ads are introduced to capture the viewer’s attention while out shopping or while waiting for transportation at bus stops. The ads also act as photo ops where viewers can pose and tag the #HOTGIRLSNACK on social media to reach a greater audience.
The second ad would be printed on a transparent red film plastic sheet that allows viewers to stand behind the print and snap photos which they can then post and tag Megan, Cheetos, and the campaign on different social media apps like Instagram and Twitter.
The Interactive
The last piece of the campaign is the interactive which invites users to join in on the TikTok #HOTGIRLSNACK dance challenge for a chance to win a year supply of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and to also be featured on Megan’s profile. An opportunity too hot to miss 🔥.
